Plants are everywhere and whether you notice them or not, their presence has a positive and healthy effect on you. Plants clean the air we breathe by absorbing the carbon dioxide we exhale and provide us with fresh oxygen in return. Plants are also effective in removing toxins like formaldehyde and benzene from the environment.

Plants are pleasant to look at, they actually have a stress reducing effect on people, and help us to maintain good health. That is why you will find plants in many places such as homes, schools, offices, hospitals, and in the natural world.

Research suggests that indoor air can actually be up to ten times more polluted than the air outdoors. There are many products inside the home that contain harmful properties such as dust, bacteria, and mould. Even everyday household products such as plastic bags, paper towels, and carpeting can give off intoxicating fumes which induce allergic reactions. While it is possible for humans to rid our houses of these materials, it is much easier to invest in a couple of green roommates (they make for a nice decorations too).
