S O U N D H E A L I N G • Did you know that right sound Vibrations rebalance energies? Given that everything has a vibrational frequency, including ourselves, it makes sense that sound frequencies impact how we feel. That’s why particular songs and types of music often bring about specific types of emotions from us. Sound healing, which is an ancient healing technique that uses tonal frequencies to bring the body into a state of vibrational balance and harmony, plays upon this as well. So, how does it work? During a sound healing session, also known as a sound bath, you’ll typically lie down on the floor or a yoga mat, perhaps cuddle up with a cozy blanket, and simply listen up as a practitioner plays a variety of instruments and you “bathe” in the soothing sounds and vibrations. The sound frequencies then slow down brain waves to a deeply restorative state, which activates the body’s system of self-healing.

P A D M A M U D R A • In Sanskrit, padma is commonly translated as lotus, therefore this Mudra is often called Lotus Mudra. This Mudra is also referred to as „sacred lotus“ as the sacred lotus is a reminder of the divine within and our own inner beauty and light. We can think of the path of the lotus as the journey to enlightenment. It is the journey from the darkness to the light. The mud and muck represent our ego, our habits, our stories, our dramas. It represents life’s challenges, our shadow, and even inertia. The water through which the lotus must rise is cleansing and purifying. It is our yoga practice and our personal development. It takes action and awareness. The lotus flower’s rise from the muck up to the water’s surface requires action, and fortitude, it is a period of growth. And the fully bloomed flower represents our fully awakened self. Pure and beautiful. Padma mudra is often associated with the Hindu goddess Lakshmi. Lakshmi is the shakti of all types of good fortune and abundance, both spiritual and material. She graces us with the gifts of auspiciousness, grace, compassion and love.

Self-care is definitely something unique to everyone’s needs and circumstances. It is not limited to getting a massage or exercising. C R Y S T A L M A G I C Every stone has its magic, starting with the name it holds: Lapiz lazuli really dances on the lips! Stone of Wisdom, and symbol of Mysticism, it was used to adorn Goddesses, Queens and Pharaohs. It was not only used for its healing properties as an elixir, but also as eye shadow and ground powder for painters such as Michel Angelo and many others during the Renaissance period. Persian and South American tribes thought that the stone would hold the knowledge of the Universe, due to its dark blue color and often its pyrite inclusions that look like stars in the night sky. Later, Islam would choose it as the protector stone against dark and negative energies, a stone that contacts spirit guardians: sensitive to psychic threats, it blocks them and returns the energy to its source. It is a call back to balance, a very holistic stone, harmonizing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. It boosts the immune system, and purifies blood, bringing you to a deep sleep. It fights for the respiratory and nervous system. Can dissolve vertigo problems. It unblocks throat and thyroid issues, and stimulates the thymus gland. It increases your confidence, giving you courage to speak your truth and be with the vibration of your soul. If you feel upset or angry, you just had a surgery or you suffer a migraine headache, keep your stone in your hand and it will support your journey. In your meditations or prayers, keep the stone in your hand or on your third eye, the one that sees all, or anywhere between the sternum and the top of the head, if you are laying, it may be useful if you want to connect with your invisible world, the fairies, angels or beloved ones. Encouraging self-awareness, self-expression, without any compromises, Lapiz Lazuli brings up qualities of honesty, compassion, and uprightness. It activates our capacity of real listening, and dissolves emotional blockages, finally getting to the core of who we are.

F U L L M O O N I N C A N C E R Water ceremonies in Bali are part of the culture. The Balinese believe that cleansing with water helps to balance our energy and emotions while letting go of past attachments. Full moon's are always a time that are celebrated and honored with many water ceremonies taking place. Throughout the island, natural springs and waterfalls are in abundance, the Balinese always treating water as sacred. With the end of the year coming to an end, a water ceremony is the perfect thing to do to help you to let go. Write down the things that you need help with releasing and when you are in the water, imagine the water washing it away. This can be done in the bath, ocean, shower, river or waterfall, you just need to make sure your intention is clear of what your letting go of. So wherever you may in the world during this full moon, invite in this sacred ritual to cleanse and clear so you can enter 2021 wtih new energy that is focused, balanced and ready for opportunity. Through prayer and ceremony the Balinese give thanks for what they have, they ask for what they need and then give a small gift to the gods. Giving and receiving is a known and beautiful part of their culture. They greatly honor receiving a gift and they give with their entire heart. So in spirit of this christmas and Balinese traditions, we wanted to send you our prayers of peace, love and abundance, may the energy of Bali grant you these things.
